Duck and Bird Hunting in Maine can be one of the most rewarding experiences that you could ever have. There are generous limits; in fact Maine has some of the highest in the United States. That speaks for itself. The Stonington, Deer Isle area in which we hunt here in Maine lends itself very well to all weather conditions. In the past two years, we have only lost two days of hunting due to weather conditions out of our control. This is why I have continued and maintained my guiding of hunts in this area of Maine. The only thing that will delay hunting is inshore seas that may consume the entire area. This is a very unusual condition. I assume you are looking for a guide that can work for you and get you your limit experience on a daily hunt. Also keep in mind that my philosophy is to have no more than four people in a hunting area at one time. Safety is very important to me. This is also another of the reasons that I guide hunts in the areas that I do. The quality of the accommodations and meals provided are in excellent taste. Let me tell you about myself and my company Sugarwings Outfitters. My name is Mark Mosher I have lived in Maine all my life. My hunting experiences started when I was a very young child, when my three brothers, two sisters and I started hunting with my father. My father has been a granddad to the Maine woods all his life. I have always loved to hunt, as do the rest of my family and all my friends in the Maine Woods. We have always considered it a way of life. This way of life, I wanted to share with others, and the best way was to receive my Maine Guide and Coast Guard License nineteen years ago. I have fulfilled many hunting experiences for others in my life and would like to try to preserve the way of life that I have experienced. I guide for Grouse, and Woodcock which begins in October and then Sea Duck and Puddle Duck hunting that begins in October through the end of December. I know that your trip with Sugarwings Outfitters will be one you will not forget. Approximately 80 percent of the hunters I have guided, come back again. Some have been coming back for many years.
